Hi Connie, thank you for your kind comment! I suppose it was a challenging pose, especially after two and a half hours of several short poses - so by the time our model took this final pose, I had begun to feel seriously pooped, which I'm told is the way I should feel after three solid hours of drawing.
I like that you try and make the rest of us feel better, by saying it was hard. Okay Michelangelo, Mary Cassatt, Sargent! But in the end all I can feel is impressed and astounded that this magnificent drawing.
Dear Barbara i am finally getting around to saying that as much as I love hyperbole, yours in particular - i find it necessary to disagree - it’s you who must be spoken of in the same breath as M, C and S.
This blog is dedicated primarily to the endeavor of list making - an inventory of sorts of various things I've done both in the recent and distant past and recent present - some drawing, sculpture, painting.
My interest in working as an artist has been predominantly figurative and I'm indebted to figurative sculptor John Fillion who I studied with at the U of Guelph.
All material on this blog is under copyright.
This is absolutely gorgeous! A tough pose that you handled beautifully!
