One, two, three….

Three goes at it
First time back at James N in a long while,  a poon's age. (poons or coons are large prehistoric animals disguised as trees which don’t do well at skiing steep downward slopes – crosshill maybe)
Tea cookies and a Clementine and a dandy reclining pose. Also some new people joined us and familiar faces were a joy to behold.

  1. Wowie, Zowie,

After a long, long, long day teaching, what a joy to see these beauties. How inspiring.

And Hey! For me it's the weekend now, on a Wednesday night. Not of course, not it's art until Monday.

Girl, you can draw something fierce.

  2. Thank you, thank you! - it's fabulous that your teaching is less stretched out this term and that you have a big chunk of time for painting!

  3. What a difficult pose for the poser, and a challenge for the artist! You've got your skill intact and your sense of humor too!

Someday, after I am famous (or win the lottery), I'll travel there and we can have tea and clementines in winter. Howz that?!

  4. Yes, I would love that! The spring is lovely too and early summer and also fall, autumn.
I know it was difficult for the model and we all felt a bit guilty but there was a rest under her hand and her head was partially supported and she insisted that she could manage. What was remarkable was that she took a break every 20 minutes and then resumed the pose almost exactly as she'd left off. That's not easy to do.
Well I'm looking forward to tea and clementines with you, Melinda!!!

  6. Thank you liza, very much! – I guess one of the really splendid things about drawing or painting is that while we’re thus engaged we have little time to think about anything else except that for that time period!
