House in order

There were still puddles of snow on the street when I painted this two months back looking down at a house from the vantage point of the second story of the former town hall in Dundas. The car in front of the house drove away  from right under my nose – not my car – and it didn’t return for me to renegotiate it into the picture – just fine and dandy.

  1. Love it. Gorgeously present and abstract.
Cars are annoying that way. But then I'm
sure you hear a lot about that.

    Love,

  2. I really like the brush strokes that
allow some of the white of the canvas come through
Colors are great, well drawn. It just has
a lot of flair. Confident brush strokes like these
only come with experience and talent.
    You got it!

  3. Nothing left but a blur in the parking space. I like the spontaneity a lot.

  4. Thank you Barbara! - at first I thought you were saying present and absent which is what it was - the car that is! Yes I do know someone who can talk both knowledgeably and at some length about the nature and habits of automobilia and their offspring.

  6. Thank you Sam! If only - I often wish I could be more free and spontaneous. I guess there is something to be said for improvising. I appreciate your comment!
